Trainings and Communication
In addition to being key to spreading awareness to local communities, training and communication is seen by CHIRAG as a major thrust area in our efforts to spread learning across the region. While training is provided at a variety of locations, in order to
capacitate long term training sessions, CHIRAG has leased a 30 bed residential facility in Dhokane in
Ramgarh block.
Training is imparted to Village level institutions, other NGOS, and to CHIRAG staff at this facility. Watershed management, water management, agricultural diversification, and SHG management are some of the areas where CHIRAG has considerable training expertise.
CHIRAG also uses puppet shows and other folk media to spread
awareness and familiarise people with issues related to the natural resource
management and social sector.
